The Spanish fan who made it!

I am writing this thread in English so that the fan who is the subject of the topic, can understand what I write about her!

First of all, can I say your name or shall I use your nick?!

Anyway, this superlucky Spanish fan who follows my blog (thanks! and yes, I am thinking of having an English version!) met HIM in Madrid!
She really made it!!!

Here's the recap! ENJOY!

I am the fourth person asking, in fact I was the only one who
introduced myself (you can hear me saying I'm Carmen and he whispers "hello")

For you to picture the situation (it's a shame there's no video of it
because seeing Foxy's reaction was priceless!!!!) You can hear Matt
grinning at one point and a brief laugh of his at the end of the
question as well as my mates grins at some points of his answer
BECAUSE he smiled like "good point" and put nice faces, looking at me
like "mmmm your idea is interesting AND i could add some things that I
know BUT I can't!" :)

First of all, I have to say that the first question was, in my
opinion, a bit "hostile" (yikes) and was made by a journalist who at
this time had only started to watch the first season of Lost ....
enough said. I was about to say something about it, but I was afraid
to be taken out of the mini press conference so I bit my tongue! But
it was fun because when the journalist started to make his question
(spanish) I couldn't help to make a face like "wtf?" so Matt, who was
seated in my direction, saw my face and knew beforehand that some
kinda "criticism" was going his way. It was so cute because after
that, when people spoke in spanish or while the translator was
speaking he used to look at me, like trying to guess what was being
said! I loved it :)

Anyway .... the day before yesterday I had the chance to fullfill
one of my dreams: sharing 20 minutes with my fave actor EVER and
without a doubt one of my fave earthlings: Mr Matthew Fox.

Jeez, it was one a once in a lifetime experience, the kinda day you'd
choose as your Groundhog Day (have you seen this movie by Bill Murray,
where one day is repeated over and over again?). In my case June 17th
2009 is without a doubt my day to re-live, day in day out.

My sister and I were credited to interview Matt in a round of nine
people BUT in the very last minute people who organized the event told
us that there could be just one journalist per publication/specific
media .... so they said that only one of us could interview the man
and the other could take pics at the photocall. Damn it! It sucked
because both of us are fans of Matt and fans of Lost and we had
prepared our interview together so it was one of those "who I have to
kill to?" moments.

But my sis, Chantilly, my partner in crime and soulmate, gave me an
earlier xmas present, pointing at me as The Chosen one while she
played "the photographer role .... So I'm definitely in debt for
life!!!! She's the coolest.

To be honest, we were not ready to take shots at the photocall because
ours was an interview for a radio show .... But we didn't care. She
had her iPhone to take her shots, which is absolutely ANTI
PROFESSIONAL, we know for sure! hahaha but she thought "what the
hell! I will be close enough to see him properly and from time to time
I will shoot ,so what if they think I'm a weirdo???".

So she infiltrated herself in the enemy lines, all the pro
photographers taking pics like crazy with their HUGE super gigantic
cameras that sent their images directly to their computers via
wifi ..... and there she was, proudly immortalizing Matt in her phone,
and fighting for her life cause photographers have no mercy in these
situations. No good images were taken OF COURSE .... but she had a
blast!

After the photocall, that lasted exactly one minute, along with other
eight people I had the priviledge to interview Matt in this tiny hotel
room in Madrid. I was nervous like crazy but I did my best to overcome
and he was ... FANTASTIC. Talkative, a bit shy at sometimes, extremely
polite and a very easygoing person to be with, for not to mention how
impressive the man is in flesh and bones! GORGEOUS. SEXY. FUN. A
special soul without a doubt. I'm sure you get the idea; the way he
moves, the way he stares at you while you talk (paying close
attention, interacting), the way he talks, grins .... you name it.

Photos were not permitted during or after the interview and neither
was giving anything to him BUT laws are made to break them, right? so
after the round of questions -where I got to know off the record among
other interesting facts that you'll hear by yourselves in the
interview that he liked my boots :)- I asked him if I could give him a
gift that my sister and I had taken for him and he said "of course!"

He was incredibly expressive and nice taking a look at our gift,
laughing when he saw it (I warned him it was a bit freaky) and kindly
posing for a picture with me. Before saying goodbye I let him know
that it was my first interview EVER and he kindly signed my notes and
said I had done a GREAT job. Woo hoo!!!!!

Dunno what else I can say ... hope you have enjoyed this "mini
review" ... it's the best I could come up with given the
circumstances: I'm still in a cloud, with that grin of satisfaction on
my face and it's difficult to write anything coherent right now. I'm
too excited to think but I wanted to share with you my stuff as soon
as I could.
