Here's a very short recap of my very exhausting one-day trip to Rome!
You're free to post comments in any language you want, I'll write this one in English so that our foreign followers can understand what we say - bilingual followers I hope you won't mind :)
Well, first of all, I am truly, deeply amazed at the number of people we managed to gather from my blog, how many were we in Rome?! It was amazing to see you all and especially to meet some people I've been chatting with for the last two years, I was seriosuly moved.
Last night in bed after we said goodbye at the hotel, my husband and I were shattared and he fell asleep after two seconds but I couldn't, I was thinking, wow, when am I going to see all these people again?! It's been great guys to meet you all there, I think we totally ROCKED and Damon and Carlton told us so when we met them in the evening!
'You're the best' Carlton
'Hey, look at the Dharma Initiative group' Damon
'It's very flattering to see you all dressed up' Carlton
As for the event, due to the lack of organization (I'll spare you the details) and the way they organized the saddest award cerimony in history which lasted three minutes, I have contrasting feelings. Nothing like Paris: that's been the perfect Lost event. Perfect atmosphere, perfect scenario, perfect fans.
The masterclass has been overall good despite the venue, a ridiculously small theatre which couldn't fit all the people who registered for the event and many fans and press had been left out :(
Damon, Carlton and Jack Bender were great, friendly, chatty, and they waved and cheered at the Dharma Iniative fans from my blog!! I arrived a quarter of an hour late at the masterclass and I was seated next to a wannabe author who did a crossword during the class so I only wore the overall in the evening but a huge YAY for the girls from my blog who totally owned the masterclass! People took pics with and of them, Darlton kept looking at them during the masterclass, it's been a great success!
As for Foxy, well, despite the atmosphere which was nothing like Paris, half of the audience weren't fans and kept telling us off for screaming out loud, when he entered almost unannounced (a very shitty panelist) my heart stopped for a couple of seconds! I couldn't take any pictures or film anything, I was kind of paralyzed!
He's been okay, not too friendly, chewing a gum all the time, kind and polite but not as friendly as I wished but I guess he's always been like this.
He's a little nervous, a little shy and I guess he ends up looking a little uptight when maybe he really isn't.
The organization in any case didn't help, they ushered him out before the panel ended, so he didn't have a chance to say goodbye but it wasn't his fault, I'm sure!
I was quite pleased I once again managed to talk to Damon, lol, Calrton and Bender when they left the theatre, I stopped them and it's been plain easy, everyone could have done it because nobody really cared so it's been only me shaking hands with them and congratulating them for their work.
As for the award ceremony, it lasted two seconds straight and it was meaningless but when Damon and Carlton arrived at the venue, they stopped on the red carpet and talked to us again, we have great pictures I will post soon, these guys are amazing! So kind and chatty, you wouldn't believe. Since it was my second 'chat' with Damon on the same day he said 'oh, hello nice to see you again!' and I told him that we went to Paris too, they signed autographs, took pics, and said it was flattering for them to see us all dressed up with the dharma outfits. I also gave Damon (Franci asked me to do it) the Jate comic she wrote with Yasi (excellent graphic designer) and he said 'I am so looking forward to reading it' with a huge grin on his face so girls, I'm sure he'll read it! I mean, he's so nice, why wouldn't he?
Then Foxy and Margherita arrived.
She stayed in the car (who can blame her, it lasted two seconds) and when he came out well, that was pretty strong! But luck wasn't on our side and he stopped at some point of the carpet (not ours of course) and after a few photoshoots he decided to enter.
He was the way he always is, I mean, serious, not smiling much and maybe a little bit grumpy? Who knows! :)
I was obviously a little pissed off as you can understand because he walked in front of us and he didn't stop but I guess you can't expect to meet all of them every time you see them, can you?
A special note goes to Anna, one of our girls who managed to ask a question to Foxy and it was a great question (most of them were so boring) which has been also quoted by other journalists. Then, she also mentioned me and the blog and she thanked him for posting a message to his fans last year. The fangirl you hear screaming, that was me and he gave me that half smile! Congrats Anna :D
Enjoy the pics!
There's a lot to come :)
